While we did lots of little summer adventures, our big trip was to Delaware. This picture doesn't really do justice to the sand holes and tunnels that were dug in front of the beach house - check out Nathan and the big shovel! My favorite part was looking out at dusk to see random guys standing in the holes drinking beer. Our take-away lesson: sand castles elicit admiration from the beachwalkers, but sand holes invite interaction. (I'm sure the beer helped a little.)
