A Walk to the River

Baby John's always up for an adventure - especially if he's outside:
It was a crazy beautiful fall day - warm and sunny but lots of leaves to kick our way through.
Katherine carried her own backpack of snacks and supplies.
At the river, Katherine and Mike found some natural clay and dug it out of the ground.
Here's Katherine at her little work rock - she'd bring the clay over here and pour water over it using a little container we'd brought with us.
Once her hands were covered, she ran around making handprints on the different rocks nearby.


This is how Katherine washed her hands - it was almost as much fun as playing in the clay.
