Appropriate July attire?

Wearing a winter hat carrying a "bear bell" on his way to Grandma's. This is especially funny since John's teacher just commented to me that John will stop screaming every time we put sunscreen on right about the time the weather turns and we no longer need to put it on. Of course, he would NEVER wear this hat without a fight last winter...and, yes, our drive was completely bear-free.
